+FREE Artist Talk and Storytelling at 6:00 p.m.
The Arab American National Museum (AANM) will be hosting 7antour (hanTour) Ana Masry - the U.S. band's North American Tour (based out of Washington DC). This concert will feature Boston-based Karim Nagi of the Detour Guide and Ahmad Elhaggar of the Haggar Band. The band will also be joined by guest artists from Montreal, Canada.
The night will start off with an interactive FREE Artist Talk and a simultaneous Arabic Storytelling Session at 6 p.m. led by Egyptian writer Hadil Ghoneim. The author will read excerpts from her children's book, Sana F Qena (A Year in Qena), as well as selections from renowned Egyptian children's books.
The children's book will be available for purchase, as well as Egyptian merchandise, and, of course, the band's always popular Ana Masry T-shirts
