As part of its commitment to help communities prosper and grow, Comerica Bank maintains a thriving partnership with ACCESS, the largest Arab American nonprofit human services organization in the United States.
From serving as chief sponsor of ACCESS’ annual holiday gift giving event at Salina Elementary School to donating tens of thousands of dollars through the Comerica Charitable Foundation, Comerica Bank has been a valued partner for more than two decades.
“ACCESS’ commitment to supporting our community is very important to us,” said Caroline Chambers, vice president and national director of diversity initiatives at Comerica Bank. “Developing partnerships with organizations that do meaningful work is always a priority for Comerica. We know that ACCESS is making a difference in people’s lives.”
Chambers said Comerica is pleased to sponsor ACCESS’ 43rd Annual Dinner and applauds the nonprofit’s efforts to assist those in need in the Arab American community and throughout southeast Michigan.
“I’ve been fortunate to work with ACCESS for several years, and what has always impressed me is ACCESS’ commitment to community first,” Chambers said. “I learned early on that ACCESS does not just support Arab Americans, rather it helps the broad community with a unique focus on Arab Americans.”
Chambers said like ACCESS, Comerica has a proud history of supporting the community through its commitment to diversity, financial support, and volunteer efforts of company employees. Comerica was one of the first corporate donors to invest in the development of the Arab American National Museum, as well as the Concert of Colors, a four-day annual music festival held in Detroit.
“Diversity is a key component of Comerica’s core mission as a company. The more we understand about each other, the better we can appreciate each other and work better together. The Arab American National Museum (AANM) serves as a pillar of the Arab community and enriches our knowledge of Arab American history and culture,” she said.
“We’re confident that our gifts of time, talent and financial resources to ACCESS are investments well spent and truly change the lives of people,” Chambers continued. “We have great faith in ACCESS’ ability to carry out its mission.”
