The ACCESS 43rd Annual Dinner took place at the Detroit Marriott Renaissance Center on April 12, 2014. Featured speakers at the event included Mich. Gov. Rick Snyder and Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan. This year’s Arab American of the Year Award recipients were former U.S. Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood and renowned University of Michigan professor of engineering, Dr. Fawwaz T. Ulaby.
This event attracted nearly 1,700 guests, including local, state and national dignitaries and is the largest Arab American sit down dinner in the United States.
