A summer of learning and fun was provided to children and teens in ACCESS’ summer arts program. Students ages 8 to 18 worked with an instructor to learn techniques to create modern and traditional artwork from different countries.
The program provides youth with a creative outlet to stay engaged during the summer break from school. Participants were introduced to Egyptian, Chinese and South American cultures while learning about the history, geography and artwork of the countries.
“Art is a journey in itself and the students in this program were able to discover what many cultures have to offer through art, from all around the world," instructor Saltanah Musaad stated.
The ACCESS Youth and Education Department offers a variety summer programs to enrich students and develop their skills in sports, cooking, fitness, technology and academics.
