DEARBORN, Mich. – ACCESS, the nation’s largest Arab American nonprofit, held its highly anticipated Spring Job Fair at the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center on Wednesday, March 28, 2018. The event was open to the public and provided hundreds of attendees with extensive insight into local employment opportunities.
The 2018 Spring Job Fair featured more than 100 employers from the financial, health care, hospitality, government, transportation, service, and manufacturing sectors, and included a number of recognized corporate names, such as Home Depot, FedEx and Citizens Bank. As always, the Job Fair enabled attendees to mingle directly with hiring managers, who conducted on-site interviews with job seekers.
“At ACCESS, we provide the necessary tools and resources our clients need in order to lead a more self-sufficient life. Empowering our clients with the skills needed to enter the workforce is crucial in order to help our local economy and to help empower our community as a whole,” said Najwa Hadous, ACCESS Employment and Training Department Director.
ACCESS holds two public Job Fairs per year, and has served tens of thousands of job seekers in the past decade. The 2018 Spring Job Fair marks the fourth year that the event was hosted at the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center. Previously, the event was held in ACCESS facilities, but several years of record breaking turnout from employers, clients, and community members forced the relocation to the much larger Ford Center.
